Sweetman Astrophotography

Welcome to my website. This is the beginning of a multi-platform experience that will showcase my astrophotography and explain my process in an accessible manner. At this point in time I’m a relative newbie, I’ve been doing this for only about six months, but in that time I’ve learned a lot, and I’ve been frustrated with how difficult it has been. For sure, this is one of the most complicated hobbies on earth, but I believe that the tools available are rapidly improving in both capability and user friendliness, and that with a little effort and the proper guidance, anyone who wants to can do this.

The channel name, 5 Minute Astrophotography, was chosen because my goal is to present topical information quickly, compactly, and search friendly so that you can look it up when you need it. There is a video channel in development as well, and I expect that to launch within a few months. So send in any requests you have, and I’ll do my best to address them in an upcoming post or video.
