Northern Lights

Sometimes the best opportunities just come to you by chance, when you aren’t prepared. You just do the best you can with what you have. Last night was one of those moments. I was aware the Aurora Borealis was likely to be visible, and I was considering various ways to photograph, but it was a workday, and I was quite busy.

And then it happened, I was making a quick stop downtown shortly after sunset, and the sky was clearly aglow, visible even over the streetlights. I did the best I could with what I had in my hand right then and there, a cell phone camera. For Auroras this bright, it does surprisingly well. Enjoy!
